Civivi riffle12/25/2022 ![]() ![]() Yeah, I've really been into exploring that range lately, other than the obvious frn spydercos. My last three custom fixed blades were in that range, and one of my favorite folders too (Cold Steel Large Voyager, clip point PE). You'd be surprised what you can find in the $40-80 range. I have serious doubts about most of these companies having d2 steel, especially since Sal said he can't find a Chinese d2 supplier. Also, I like that they don't lie about their steel. With all the real steel, bestech, ruike, etc on the market now, there's a lot of choices. I was just hankering to try some of these new budget knives. I'm usually not either but I've gear 9cr is decent and with a heat treat between 59-60, it can't be terrible. Here's a link to the Naja, one that I really like the look of. I've been in a small, lighweight knife kick but I'll make room to give this one its due. I'll definitely be carrying this for awhile. I heard I performs somewhere between bd1 and vg10. Very thin behind the edge, action is indead good, I like the feel of the g10 and ergonomics, the choil. It blows the Ontario Rat out of the water. Having got it today, I'm quite impressed. The features are nice: made by WE, a very quality manufacturer, contoured g10, good flipper action (usually not a flipper fan but whateva), and a new-to-me steel. There was a lot of hype for these and that got my attention. I was attracted to it becuase, despite my expensive collection, I do enjoy finding a good knife in the $40-$80 dollar range. This is the first non-spydie I've bought in a while. ![]()
